RentRealm for Buildium

Works today through Buildium’s public listing feed

RentRealm reads your Buildium account’s public listing feed and gives every listed unit its own page on your website. You don’t need an API key.

What works today

  • Import from your Buildium account’s public listing feed, with no API key needed.
  • Enter your Buildium address, or a page that links to your Buildium account, such as your current vacancy page, and RentRealm finds the feed.
  • RentRealm checks the feed about every 10 minutes. New and changed listings update your site on their own, and when a home leaves the feed its page stays up for at least a year and points to similar homes.

How to connect Buildium

  1. Create your account

Sign up at app.rentrealm.com and set up your company and first site, or call us to join Early Access.

  2. Enter your Buildium address

In the setup wizard’s listings step, or under Listings → Listing feed, enter yourcompany.managebuilding.com and select Save feed. A page that links to one Buildium account works too. RentRealm downloads the feed once to check it before saving it.

  3. Press Sync now

Your listed units import with their photos. From then on, RentRealm checks the feed for changes about every 10 minutes.

  4. Check what was held back

Descriptions the Fair Housing check flags aren’t published. Listings shows which ones, and you can write your own in their place.

  5. Use your own domain

Move your site from yourcompany.rentrealm.com to a domain you own, such as yourcompany.com or rentals.yourcompany.com.

What each listing bringsAddress, rent, available date, bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage, description, photos, amenities, pet policy and security deposit, as your Buildium listing shows them.

Limits to know

  • Only listings active in Buildium come over; delisted ones don’t.
  • The feed carries what your public listing shows, nothing about leases or tenants.
  • Changes show once RentRealm checks the feed again, not the moment you save them in your software.
  • On a plan, Buildium sync is included from PM Growth up. The Landlord plan takes other listing feeds, and the Free plan has no feeds.

Planned, not built yet

Planned: sync through Buildium’s Open API with webhooks, for Buildium Premium customers using their own API credentials, so changes arrive when Buildium reports them instead of on a schedule.

What you get, whatever you connect

A page for every listing, on your own domain

Each unit gets its own page at an address that doesn’t change, on yourcompany.rentrealm.com or your own domain. When a home is leased, its page stays up for at least a year and points to similar homes.

Found by search engines and AI assistants

Listing facts are in the page’s HTML, with structured data, a sitemap and llms.txt, so Google, Bing, ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity can read them.

Leads with their source

Renters request showings and ask questions on the listing page. Each lead arrives with the page and channel it came from, and “Is it available?” questions can get an automatic answer.

Fair Housing checks

Listing descriptions are checked for Fair Housing issues before they go live, and flagged ones are held back.
